Headwaters: A Bold New Vision for the Ohio River Watershed

6-27-2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Please join the Allegheny Front for a discussion about the future of the Ohio River watershed.

Keynote: Collin O’Mara, President and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation

Panel discussion with regional experts

In many ways, the Ohio River is an unsung resource. The Ohio’s near-thousand-mile course flows through Pennsylvania and five other states before emptying into the Mississippi. It’s a source of drinking water for millions of people, but its long legacy as a “working river” has also made it the most polluted in the country. Mr. O’Mara spoke with The Allegheny Front about how reimagining our relationship with the river could prove crucial to the region’s future.

Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages provided.

Hosted by The Allegheny Front to celebrate the launch of our new podcast, Headwaters, exploring what this new chapter in the river’s history could look like – and how we can get there.
