Lead exposure in the learning environment can have serious adverse health effects – especially for children. This free webinar will cover the sources of lead, the dangers it poses, and how to prevent and address exposure.

About the Speakers:
Daniel Casciato has been principle of Affordable Services, Inc. since 1996. He has extensive experience working with early learning centers. Affordable Services, Inc. holds an Evaluation (Inspection, Risk Assessment, Clearance, Dust Sampling Technician), Lead Abatement, Renovation license recognized by the PA Department of Labor and Industry and the EPA.
Chelsea Holmes is director of community education at Women for a Healthy Environment (WHE), in which she leads the organization’s Healthy Early Learning, Healthy Schools and Healthy Homes programs.
Yanna Lambrinidou, PhD is a medical ethnographer and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Technology Studies (STS) at Virginia Tech. She is the founder of the non-profit children’s environmental health organization Parents for Nontoxic Alternatives. Since 2007, Dr. Lambrinidou and Dr. Marc Edwards have teamed on researching the historic 2001-2004 Washington, DC lead-in-drinking-water contamination.
Kevin Osterhoudt, MD is an attending physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine and medical director of the Poison Control Center at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He serves as a professor of Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and is a faculty member in the Community Outreach and Education Core of the Center of Excellence in Environmental Toxicology at Penn.
