DESCRIPTION:In response to the sudden removal of glass from many residential recycling programs in the Pittsburgh area\, Pennsylvania Resources Council will launch a network of pop-up glass recycling events in 2019. The pop-up sites will be sponsored by local governments committed to recycling and who recognize that glass remains a recyclable material with vibrant demand in the regional and national recycled materials marketplace. \n-All events will be on Saturdays\, open from 9am – 2pm\n-No cost to users\n-PRC staff and volunteers will be on site to assist recyclers \n-Accepted: all colors of glass bottles and jars.\n-NOT accepted: drinking glasses or stemware\, window glass\, ceramics. \nFor more information and full list of dates\, see PRC’s website. \nIf you are interested in bringing glass collection events to your area please reach out to your local municipality and ask them to contact PRC at glass@prc.org
