SUMMARY:Traveling Glass Recycling Bin Program Launch
DESCRIPTION:On June 6\, the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) will launch a Traveling Glass Recycling Bin Program to serve residents living in municipalities no longer accepting glass in curbside recycling collection.  This free weeklong service – rotating through a variety of locations in southwestern Pennsylvania – will offer residents a safe self-serve method for recycling glass that eliminates interaction with other individuals.  The bin’s first appearance will take place June 6 – 11 at the Hampton Community Swimming Pool.  Individuals can dispose of glass bottles\, jars\, and jugs of all colors.  For more information – including a schedule of upcoming appearances – visit www.prc.org/glassrecycling or call 412-488-7490.

SUMMARY:PRC Glass Recycling Event
DESCRIPTION:Many communities have lost access to glass collection services in their curbside recycling programs\, but glass is still a highly valuable and recyclable commodity. PA residents can continue glass recycling efforts by expanding our infrastructure of glass drop-off collection sites. In 2020\, PRC continues to pursue this goal. \nNEW! Starting in June 2020\, PRC is rolling out a new Traveling Glass Bin program – a week-long\, rotating self-serve collection model!
