DESCRIPTION:Presented by involveMINT \n\n\n\nAfter Hazelwood Local’s Fall Minifest (3:30–6 PM)\, head over to the Hazelwood Food Recycling Site (4501 Sylvan Ave) for a Halloween-flavored party celebrating 1 year of impact: 100\,000lbs of food scraps diverted\, 700 lbs of produce harvested\, and 23\,000 dollars worth of credits minted. Explore hands-on composting demos\, try the sifting competition\, show off your costume\, and visit partner vendors\, and try out the new involveMINT Community Exchange WebApp! \n\n\n\n​Learn how diverting your food scraps earns Impact Credits you can spend with event vendors and local businesses (or redeem for compost). Credits are backed by the compost produced on-site\, tying economic value to healthy soil and a stronger neighborhood food system. \n\n\n\n​This open-house style event features free local food and drink\, campfire\, and hayride. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the University of Pittsburgh \n\n\n\nThe 2026 Annual International Pittsburgh Energy and Carbon Management Conference (PECMC) will be held virtually. This year\, the conference focuses on the benefits of clean energy and carbon management technologies in mitigating the effects of global climate change. Our faithful conference attendees\, who have been successful in developing and using a fossil fuel-based economy over the years\, are now focusing on mitigating the global temperature rise driven by mankind’s reliance on fossil fuels and the resulting greenhouse gas emissions. For example\, the Conference is addressing both the energy and non-energy uses of fossil fuels\, as well as carbon management\, to meet the ambitious Net Zero emissions scenario by 2050.
