SUMMARY:Energy & Industrial Future Summit
DESCRIPTION:Presenteed by the Allegheny Conference on Community Development \n\n\n\nAmerica is entering a dynamic era of industrial growth driven by surging electricity demand\, rapid AI expansion\, advanced manufacturing\, and supply chain reshoring. This summit explores why Pennsylvania – and Southwestern Pennsylvania in particular – is uniquely suited to anchor this transformation. Attendees will gain insights into how advanced nuclear energy can serve as a foundation for baseload power and industrial expansion\, as well as how regional assets can drive new opportunities across the broader supply chain. \n\n\n\nThrough targeted keynotes and panel sessions\, the summit addresses how local manufacturers\, automated production capabilities\, and strategic investments can support the nation’s rising energy and infrastructure needs. You will hear practical perspectives on what it takes for Pennsylvania and Southwestern Pennsylvania to win in this era—from leveraging energy assets to building workforce\, innovation\, and commercialization ecosystems. Join us to connect with peers and participate in a forward-looking conversation on securing our region’s industrial future. \n\n\n\nThe event will feature speakers from the U.S. Department of Energy\, Westinghouse\, Pittsburgh Technical Consultants\, North American Forgemasters\, Carnegie Foundry\, System One\, FirstEnergy Pennsylvania\, Wabtec\, Kennametal\, and more. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nOrganizer\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue

SUMMARY:43rd Annual International Pittsburgh Energy and Carbon Management Conference (PECMC)
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the University of Pittsburgh \n\n\n\nThe 2026 Annual International Pittsburgh Energy and Carbon Management Conference (PECMC) will be held virtually. This year\, the conference focuses on the benefits of clean energy and carbon management technologies in mitigating the effects of global climate change. Our faithful conference attendees\, who have been successful in developing and using a fossil fuel-based economy over the years\, are now focusing on mitigating the global temperature rise driven by mankind’s reliance on fossil fuels and the resulting greenhouse gas emissions. For example\, the Conference is addressing both the energy and non-energy uses of fossil fuels\, as well as carbon management\, to meet the ambitious Net Zero emissions scenario by 2050. In this pathway\, in addition to the main pillars of decarbonization\, including energy efficiency & conservation\, renewables\, nuclear\, low-emissions fuels\, and carbon capture\, utilization\, and storage (CCUS) technologies\, there are cross-cutting enablers\, such as innovation\, international collaboration\, and digitalization\, which could accelerate progress by strengthening policy or providing more effective technological solutions. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nOrganizer\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue
