SUMMARY:SCDN Policy Connection: Stormwater Management & Hazard Mitigation for Municipalities
DESCRIPTION:Join Sustainable Pittsburgh for a timely webinar on how Pennsylvania communities can strengthen stormwater systems and hazard response plans in the face of increasingly extreme weather. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nRecent storms have overwhelmed parts of the state causing flash flooding\, infrastructure damage\, and public safety concerns. Experts will share best practices\, funding opportunities\, and tools. We’ll also highlight how these efforts support Sustainable PA certification and help to contribute to a stronger\, more equitable future for all residents. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nFeatured Speakers \n\n\n\n\nRichard Deal\, State Hazard Mitigation Officer\, PA Emergency Management Agency\n\n\n\nJason Singer\, Councilman – Ward 4\, Town of McCandless\n\n\n\nBeth Uhler\, Pennsylvania Director\, Center for Watershed Protection\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWho Should Attend \n\n\n\n\nLocal elected officials\n\n\n\nMunicipal staff\n\n\n\nSustainability professionals\n\n\n\nOther stakeholders\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nOrganizer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue
