The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC), the region’s official transportation planning organization for Southwestern Pennsylvania, is actively seeking public input on the region’s Transportation Improvement Program and Active Transportation Plan!
SPC has recently held public meetings in each county in Southwestern PA and continues to gather input on the update of the region’s Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), which provides funding for the region’s priority roadway, transit and multimodal transportation improvements programmed for advancement over the next four years. Please visit http://www.spcregion.org/trans_ppp_portal.shtml to learn more about the TIP and provide your feedback.
SPC is also developing the region’s Active Transportation Plan to improve bicycle and pedestrian accessibility in the region’s communities. This plan will tie together local planning efforts, and identify opportunities and strategies for interconnected regional pedestrian and bicycle networks. As part of this process, SPC is seeking public input on preliminary objectives for the Active Transportation Plan. Take the Active Transportation Plan survey here!
