According to a recent survey by Represent Women, Pennsylvania ranked 49th in gender parity of elected officials at all levels — only Mississippi did worse. On a state level, Pennsylvania ranked 32nd, with women occupying 26 percent of the elected positions on the state legislature, according to the Center for American Women and Politics.”
