Shop & Celebrate Sustainable Small Businesses in Millvale during December 3 Cash Mob

This Saturday, December 3, Sustainable Pittsburgh and the Business Association of Millvale invite individuals to shop and celebrate the Sustainable Small Business Designation of 17 businesses in the Borough during a Cash Mob!  The Cash Mob, which is slated to occur between 1:00 pm and 5:30 pm, is happening in conjunction with Millvale’s Yuletide Tour and holiday tree lighting.  Sales, sleigh rides, performances and raffle prizes are all part of the festivities.

Shoppers interested in participating in the Cash Mob should pick up a “passport” at Millvale Library.  Visit participating businesses with the passport to collect stickers and enter to win prizes!

Sustainable businesses manage and operate in ways that simultaneously are good for their bottom line, the environment, and the social fabric of their communities.  The Southwestern PA Sustainable Small Business Designation, one of Sustainable Pittsburgh’s award winning performance programs, recognizes small businesses that incorporate sustainable practices as their strategy for success.

For a list of Sustainable Small Businesses participating in the Millvale Cash Mob, visit C4SPgh.org/millvale.

Join Sustainable Pittsburgh as a 2017 member

Dear 3E Links readers,

Please become a 2017 member today and help Sustainable Pittsburgh continue working for a healthier, fair, and more prosperous region.

Among several initiatives, our Champions for Sustainability business network features performance programs such as Sustainable Pittsburgh Restaurant, which is elevating this foodie mecca to becoming a leader in sustainable restaurant performance.  In 2016, Sustainable Pittsburgh Restaurants established a community garden, installed power-saving equipment, hired a sustainability coordinator, and more!  With these restaurants, SP also fostered a new partnership with Wigle Whiskey and 412 Food Rescue to help feed local families in need through Libations for Donations.

Your financial support helps us grow and strengthen these programs and more, including the Sustainable Small Business Designation, CEOs for Sustainability, the Green Workplace Challenge and the Sustainable Pennsylvania Community Certification.  See here for a full overview of SP’s programs.

Thank you for your continued support of Sustainable Pittsburgh.  Please donate today!
