PRC is launching a 100% Recycled Paper Cooperative to make 100% recycled content paper more affordable in the Pittsburgh area. Historically, cooperatives make 100% recycled paper more affordable by purchasing large volumes of office paper directly from a paper mill and distributing to co-op members at a decreased price. The PRC Paper Co-op will feature 100% recycled content standard white 8.5×11 office paper from a mill in Northwestern PA.
Offices that switch from 0% – 30% recycled content paper to a 100% recycled content brand from a local mill will conserve significantly more natural resources and support a circular local economy! While the project is not off the ground today, we hope that you will keep an eye out for our updates in February and March 2020 about the online ordering process and formal marketing materials. Questions about the project can be sent to ashleyd@prc.org and stacya@prc.org in the interim.
