Choose Local

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic many local businesses have found themselves in serious jeopardy. More than half of our neighbors who work at locally owned restaurants, retail stores, shops and hospitality services have experienced unemployment, and many of their local employers have been forced to downsize or close their doors completely. This has made supporting local businesses more important than ever.

Hosted by Sustainable Pittsburgh and CEOs for Sustainability, Choose Local brought together organizations and consumers from across Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties to advocate for our local businesses and support vibrant local communities. From June 2021 to January 2022, Choose Local aimed to raise awareness and drive action toward keeping our dollars local so our communities can grow and thrive.
