Next Saturday, April 22 marks the 47th Earth Day and several events are scheduled throughout the Pittsburgh region. Following are brief highlights of a few. (More are posted on Sustainable Pittsburgh’s events calendar.)
4/21 – Pittsburgh Earth Day Sustainability Business Breakfast
Hear a panel of experts discuss Pittsburgh’s sustainable business community and learn what your organization can do to succeed by going green.
4/21-22 – Paint the Square Green
Market Square will feature a world market with a mix of local vendors specializing in Earth-friendly products and services, along with organic and educational vendors and live music.
4/21-22 – Pittsburgh Earth Day Solar Powered Food Truck Festival
Located on Fourth Avenue adjacent to Market Square and PPG, and Lunchtime Concerts in Mellon Square Park featuring local musicians.
4/21 – PNC Sustainable Lunch + Learn
Sustainable leaders will share their thoughts, expertise, and ideas on how to maintain the “wellness” aspect of sustainability.
4/22 – Earth Day at Frick Environmental Center
Join hundreds of your neighbors for this free community celebration that includes naturalist-led walks and hikes, performances, tree climbing demos, solar powered activities, and more!
4/22 – La vie en Vert
This special Earth to Table dinner celebration will commemorate the annual three-day sustainable festival. The event will take place at Coterie Company, Pittsburgh’s newest female forward coworking space located in the Frick building Penthouse.
