Leigh Frank

Director of Development and Partnerships

Leigh Frank brings over 25 years of leadership experience in nonprofit development, communications, and strategic partnerships to her role as Director of Development and Partnerships at Sustainable Pittsburgh. With a passion for advancing equity-driven initiatives and deep roots in the Pittsburgh community, Leigh has built a career on elevating mission-focused organizations through fundraising innovation and impactful storytelling.

Before joining Sustainable Pittsburgh, Leigh led development and communications efforts at City of Asylum Pittsburgh, served as Vice President of Marketing & Communications at the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, where she collaborated with Sustainable Pittsburgh on several initiatives, and was Executive Director of the Carnegie Community Development Corporation.

A seasoned consultant, Leigh supported a diverse range of clients—from grassroots nonprofits to national foundations—with branding, donor cultivation, grant strategy, and media relations. Her community and creative work have earned her a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award and recognition in Pittsburgh Magazine’s “40 Under 40.”

Leigh serves on advisory boards for Riverlife and Dress for Success Pittsburgh and is a proud board member of Babesburgh. She holds a degree in Communications Media Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of the Coro Center Women in Leadership program.
