Sustainable Pittsburgh is excited to welcome Sreya Vangala to the team as our new Program Manager, Corporate Sustainability! In this role, she will be responsible for the successful execution of initiatives such as the CEOs for Sustainability executive roundtable, the Sustainability Practitioners’ Network, and the Sustainable Pittsburgh Workplace program. With a background in research and consulting, Vangala specializes in sustainability, smart cities, transportation, urbanization, and governance.
Vangala holds an MS in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University and an MA in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences in India. Her career includes work across government, private sectors, and academia, encompassing projects in healthcare and peri-urban policy, circular economy strategies, and supply chain management within the fast-food industry.
Looking ahead, Vangala is focused on the nexus of emerging technologies, sustainability, and international trade. Outside of work, she founded an organization dedicated to advocacy, civic engagement, and electoral participation in India.
Vangala combines her practical expertise with a passion for sustainability to drive meaningful change in corporate responsibility.
