Sign up and benefit from the Sustainable Pittsburgh Challenge

December 21, 2017 by Ginette Walker Vinski

New Year, New Challenge.  New Ways to Compete, Save, and Win.  The Pittsburgh Green Workplace Challenge is now the Sustainable Pittsburgh Challenge, a yearlong, free, and friendly competition for businesses, nonprofits, universities, schools, and local governments in southwestern Pennsylvania to track their sustainability actions and receive positive recognition for their achievements.

The Challenge provides a road map for sustainable business practices that meets organizations where they are–whether an organization is new to sustainability or more advanced in its practices.  Sixty organizations have signed up to date.

Sign up for this free competition by Dec. 31 and earn 30 bonus points off the bat!

Among many benefits, participation helps organizations:

  • better manage utility expenses;
  • create positive, diverse and inclusive work environments;
  • connect with people and resources;
  • and capitalize on processes to save money by reducing waste, energy and water use.
