After Hazelwood Local’s Fall Minifest (3:30–6 PM), head over to the Hazelwood Food Recycling Site (4501 Sylvan Ave) for a Halloween-flavored party celebrating 1 year of impact: 100,000lbs of food scraps diverted, 700 lbs of produce harvested, and 23,000 dollars worth of credits minted. Explore hands-on composting demos, try the sifting competition, show off your costume, and visit partner vendors, and try out the new involveMINT Community Exchange WebApp!
Learn how diverting your food scraps earns Impact Credits you can spend with event vendors and local businesses (or redeem for compost). Credits are backed by the compost produced on-site, tying economic value to healthy soil and a stronger neighborhood food system.
This open-house style event features free local food and drink, campfire, and hayride. Costumes encouraged!
