Recent storms have overwhelmed parts of the state causing flash flooding, infrastructure damage, and public safety concerns. These recurring downpours are becoming more and more common in a changing climate. With annual precipitation up nearly 10% and extreme rain events on the rise, Pennsylvania faces growing risks from flooding, heat waves, windstorms, and freeze-thaw cycles.
