Sustainable Pittsburgh Sprint Kickoff Happy Hour

To celebrate the launch of the first ever Social Equity Sprint, Sustainable Pittsburgh is hosting a fun, casual gathering this Thursday evening at Square Cafe, a Platinum designated Sustainable Pittsburgh Restaurant. Join us for delicious snacks and tasty drinks, including mocktails, beer or wine, while you network with peers and learn more about the Sprint, a new opportunity to gain recognition for your sustainability efforts!

Social equity takes place in the workplace when everyone has the opportunity to engage, prosper, and reach their full potential. The Social Equity Sprint is a free and friendly competition where businesses, organizations, and municipalities compete against peers to earn points for actions in areas covering operations, hiring and promotions, accessibility, procurement, and more. Workplaces that demonstrate social equity are better positioned to attract top talent and have higher returns. Similarly, municipalities drive progress around public safety, risk and resilience, municipal operations, and planning and development. 

During the event, Sustainable Pittsburgh will share a brief overview of the competition and how your organization can leverage points earned in the Sprint toward a higher designation level in our recognition programs: Workplace, Shop, Restaurant, and Sustainable Pennsylvania.
