The Center on Race and Social Problems (CRSP) and the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh are teaming up to establish a new Policy and Research Committee. This collaborative effort aims to create an impactful “State of Black Pittsburgh Report,” and they are currently seeking interested community members to participate in this initiative. The report will be centered on five critical dimensions—Education and Youth Empowerment, Economic Empowerment, Health and Quality of Life Empowerment, Civic Engagement Empowerment, and Civil Rights and Racial Justice Empowerment. By focusing on these dimensions, the goal is to provide a comprehensive overview and explore ways to enhance the state of Black Pittsburgh. For more information, or to get involved, reach out to Dr. Kyaien Conner (koc25@pitt.edu) or John Ukenye, Advocacy and Policy Officer at the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh (jukenye@ulpgh.org.)
