Forge a Better Future, For All. Support Sustainable Pittsburgh on #GivingTuesday, November 28.
Sustainable Pittsburgh is a nonprofit committed to building the knowledge, perspective, and ability needed to create a better tomorrow for our region.
At Sustainable Pittsburgh, we want to live in a region where everyone can thrive. We want to live in a region where everyone has access to clean air and water, quality jobs, and a stable climate. Sustainability means rejecting simple solutions and looking for thoughtful approaches that strengthen our relationship with each other and the world around us while building the economy of tomorrow. And we are working every day to make that happen by providing the tools decision-makers need to create a region where people are connected and everyone can succeed.
Reducing carbon emissions is one of our key priorities as an organization. We know that reducing carbon emissions – or decarbonization – is a clear solution for addressing the impacts of climate change. To truly achieve decarbonization, we must create a comprehensive, equity-driven, multi-sector strategy for our region. This includes meaningful community engagement, change at scale, and measurement and accountability. More than ever, we are engaged in our roles as a convener and resource to connect and catalyze urgent action.
If you make your gift on or before Giving Tuesday, November 28, you will be entered into a drawing for a complimentary, private, docent-led tour of Unsettling Matter, Gaining Ground at the Heinz Architectural Center of the Carnegie Museum of Art on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 6-7:30 pm.
