Now Hiring: Program Manager

Posted on February 27, 2020 by Kelsy Black

Sustainable Pittsburgh is hiring! Currently, we are looking for a Program Manager to join the team.

Wherever you’re from, whatever your background, Sustainable Pittsburgh needs you! At Sustainable Pittsburgh, we believe inclusion and diversity are key to our success. By fully leveraging our diverse experiences, backgrounds, and insights, we inspire innovation, shape a new narrative, and create better outcomes for our partners and the communities we serve.

Making inclusion and diversity a competitive advantage is front and center for us. In 2019, 82% of our team identify as women, and 27% identify as a racial or ethnic minority.

“It is central to our mission that Sustainable Pittsburgh be an organization that works for and resonates with all the communities in the greater Pittsburgh region. I hope that you will join me as we work to ensure a more sustainable future for all.”
–
Joylette Portlock, Executive Director

What does it take to be a successful program manager at Sustainable Pittsburgh?

The successful Program Manager will develop impact goals for the region’s organizations and communities, design compelling curricula and resources to support advancement of these goals, and build trusted, professional relationships with partners to help achieve them.

Our programs provide education, resources, performance tracking, and networking opportunities for stakeholders.

While you will work closely with the Director of Programs and other programs team staff to meet this goal, you will be primarily responsible for the successful design and execution of one or more of Sustainable Pittsburgh’s programs, including the next version of the Sustainable Pittsburgh Challenge and activities of the CEOs for Sustainability executive roundtable.
