In case you missed it:
Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission has received a $1 million-dollar grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for their SPC Regional Climate Pollution Reduction Plan (CPRG). SPC needs to hear from stakeholders in the 10-county southwestern Pennsylvania region by December 15th who are developing projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from multiple sectors, including power, transportation, industry, buildings, agriculture and materials management. In order to receive access to the $4.3 Billion available for future implementation grants, government entities (boroughs, municipalities, townships) may propose competitive projects detailing emissions-reduction measures that are included in SPC’s Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP). If you have a project in mind, but you aren’t sure if it will qualify, please take a look at the objectives and requirements here or contact SPC’s Environmental Programs Manager, Cathy Tulley, at ctulley@spcregion.org or 412.391.5590 ext.0376.
