On June 6, the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) will launch a Traveling Glass Recycling Bin Program to serve residents living in municipalities no longer accepting glass in curbside recycling collection. This free weeklong service – rotating through a variety of locations in southwestern Pennsylvania – will offer residents a safe self-serve method for recycling glass that eliminates interaction with other individuals. The bin’s first appearance will take place June 6 – 11 at the Hampton Community Swimming Pool. Individuals can dispose of glass bottles, jars, and jugs of all colors. For more information – including a schedule of upcoming appearances – visit www.prc.org/glassrecycling or call 412-488-7490.
