INFORMATION MEETINGS: Allegheny Master Watershed Steward Program

7-24-2019 at 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Western Pennsylvanians are surrounded by streams and rivers, but few of us know much about how we affect them or how we can improve them.  The Master Watershed program was established to educate and empower volunteers to protect environmental resources.  The training program covers a broad range of water resource topics, including groundwater, stream ecology, wildlife in the watershed, invasive plants, water recreation, stormwater management, and more.

A series of public meetings are being held around Allegheny County from July 22-30, 2019 to introduce individuals and organizations interested in watersheds and conservation to the Allegheny Master Watershed Steward Program.

The Allegheny Master Watershed Steward program trains and empowers individuals to protect environmental resources in Allegheny County. Volunteers assist partners with stream assessments, improvements, & cleanups, plus community education and more.

Advance registration is requested for the public meetings, but walk-ins are welcome. Please call 412-482-3464 to register.
