More than 50 Pittsburgh organizations have joined forces so far in planning a virtual event around the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day.
We the people have a right to clean air, pure water and to the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic and esthetic values of the environment.
Like many of you, we are sheltering in place and keeping those on the frontlines in the fight against the COVID-19 global health crisis in our thoughts.
At the same time, the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day offers us an opportunity to renew our commitment to our planet. We will declare a climate emergency and call on everyone to help fight the expansion of petrochemicals, industrial pollution and the harm that both inflict on people in our region.
