Dr. Joylette Portlock is the first new executive director of Sustainable Pittsburgh in two decades. With this change, PublicSource sought to learn how she will steer the organization.

Portlock has science degrees from MIT and Stanford and has led a nonprofit that created educational videos about climate change. She serves on the board of the Allegheny County Health Department and worked as the associate director of science and research at Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
